An Unexpected Blessing by Unoma Nwankwor, was based on two characters from two different cultures. Feranmi Adewunmi is Nigerian and Alex Montgomery is American. This book illustrates how two people can still find love in each other from different cultures This was a very good book. The story line held my interest until the end. All in all, I would recommend this book you should add to your list of books to read this year. The author did a very good job and I’m sure you will enjoy as much as I did. Thank you to the author for a very good story

I have read almost every book by this author and only now getting to her first book this one! As always she never disappoints! There is ALWAYS GREAT character development, family connections, strong friendships and real people that God is working on. In this, the first for the UK Universe, we meet Alex and Feranmi who met in college, found love in serving God but weren't willing to take the next step. Fast forward a few years and their paths cross again but both have baggage to work through if their shot at a second chance will work! If you love real struggles and relatable characters with loveable friends and family, this read is for you!

I really enjoyed "An Unexpected Blessing". I loved the characters and all their personalities and how even how different they were they could all be friends and support each other. I don't know much about the Nigerian culture and this gave me a good understanding of how some families can view culture, religion and marriage. I so identified with Fera in wanting to honor her parents and using any way to do so. It was a little predictable at points but that may be that I love to figure out what is going to happen that I mess it up for myself. I was so happy to see the elements of true love and Christianity displayed in this book. Look forward to reading other books by Unoma.
